He has also worked in several prestigious organisations like HINDUSTAN CIBA-GIEGY LI,MITED (now SYNGENTA LIMITED), NOCIL, E I D PARRY LIMITED, etc. Hindustan Ciba-Giegy was the first company in India to manufacture TRIMETHYL PHOSPHITE, Technical grade MONOCROTOPHOS, PHOSPHAMIDON and DDVP. Mr. Balachandran was a team member from the erection and commissioning stages of the project to setup the above mentioned manufacturing facilities in 1971.
An advantageous combination of qualifications in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering aided by Post Graduate Diploma in Factory Management has propelled him through his career and consultancy assignments.
In 1993, he established his own organisation TECHNOSAFE CONSULTANTS which is helping the agrochemicals industry by providing expert guidance to improve upon the plant performances in various areas. He has the expertise of about 25 nos. of Technical Pesticides and their intermediates in all aspects, viz. Technology, Quality, Environment, Safety and economics of manufacture and distribution. He is also well versed in various Statutory norms and Statutes prevailing in India as well as Other countries .

Prior to joining Technosafe Consultants, he has worked with MIS 1 INDIA LTD, GIDC Panoli, Dist. BHARUCH (GUJARAT) for 7 years in and Safety, Health and Environment fields. He is well versed in ab Grade Pesticides manufacture.
